The former head of the occupiers' prison "Isolation" received 15 years in prison

The SBU has sentenced the former head of the Russian detention centre "Isolation" to 15 years in prison. This is reported by the SBU.
Thanks to the evidence base of the Security Service of Ukraine, Denys Kulikovskyy, the ex-head of the illegal prison "Isolation", which the Russian occupants created in the temporarily occupied Donetsk, has been given a real prison term, the security service has said.
According to the investigation, Kulikovskyy organised and personally participated in numerous murders and torture of kidnapped Ukrainians in eastern Ukraine.
Counterintelligence officers of the SBU detained the figure in early November 2021 as a result of a special operation in Kiev, where he was hiding from justice in rented flats.
According to the investigation, the attacker had the call sign "Palych". From October 2014 to February 2018, he organised the illegal imprisonment of more than 20 victims
Before that, people were kidnapped right in the middle of the street or from their own homes by representatives of the occupation "MGB", which is coordinated by the FSB.
The prisoners were subjected to cruel torture in the detention centres, including simulated shootings, electrocution, and were kept without food and water for long periods of time.
The court sentenced him to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property. Based on the evidence collected by the SBU, the court found Kulikovsky guilty under several articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
- ч. 1 Art. 258-3 (participation in a terrorist group or terrorist organisation);
- ч. 1 Art. 260 (participation in the activities of paramilitary or armed formations not provided for by law);
- ч. article 28, part 1 (commission of an offence by a group of persons by prior agreement, an organized group or a criminal organization);
- ч. article 438, part 1 (violation of the laws and customs of war).
The investigation was conducted under the procedural guidance of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office and the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
