The ship RAZONI under the flag of Sierra Leone with 26 thousand tons of Ukrainian corn left the port of Odessa.

This was announced on Facebook by the Minister of Infrastructure, Olexandr Kubrakov.

Oleksandr Kubrakov said that for the first time since February 24, today at 9:15, a ship with Ukrainian food will leave Tripoli, Lebanon. The vessel will move "along the corridor," which is guaranteed by the UN and Turkey.

I am grateful to the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the opportunity to negotiate on Ukrainian terms.
In the ports of Big Odessa, another 16 ships are already waiting for their turn. These ships have been blocked since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion. In parallel, we will receive applications for the arrival of new vessels for loading agricultural products. In the coming weeks, with the support of our partners, we plan to reach the total capacity of transshipment of farm products,” the minister added.

The minister also recalled that Ukraine is the 4th largest exporter of corn in the world, so the possibility of exporting it through ports is a massive success for ensuring global food security.

Unblocking exports is vital for Ukraine because it will allow it is receiving at least one billion dollars of income per month, and farmers will be able to sow for the next season.
