The AFU liberated two settlements in Donetsk region

The airborne assault troops of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have successfully liberated two settlements in Donetsk Region - Zolotoy Kolodets and Petrovka. This was reported by official sources of the DShV.

According to the 79th Tavricheskaya and 82nd Bukovyna Independent Airborne Assault Brigades, the units carried out effective assault operations, during which the enemy suffered significant losses both in personnel, equipment and weapons. Some of the captured occupants were taken prisoner and handed over to the exchange fund.

Earlier Socialportal reported that Russia continues its strategic offensive in several directions and is preparing for new offensive operations, while the situation on the front remains tense. This was reported by the commander-in-chief of the AFU General Alexander Syrsky.

According to him, the enemy is regrouping troops, concentrating efforts on two key directions - Pokrovsk and Zaporizhzhya. The Pokrovsk direction remains a priority, while forces from Sumy region are being transferred to Zaporizhzhya region, where active offensive operations are expected to start. General Syrskyy emphasised that the situation is complex and requires constant attention and adaptation on the part of the Ukrainian forces.
