The AFU hit the command post of the Russian Marines: what is known

on 7 January, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a precision strike on the command post of the 810th separate brigade of the Russian Armed Forces Marine Corps.
The object, according to the AFU General Staff, was located near the settlement of Belaya in Russia's Kursk Region. This was reported by the press service of the AFU General Staff.
The strike was part of wider combat operations carried out by the Ukrainian Defence Forces on the territory of Russia. The press release of the General Staff stresses that the AFU is using all available means to destroy Russian military formations that pose a threat to the security of Ukrainian citizens.
At the same time, the Russian Defence Ministry reported "blocking an attempted invasion by the AFU" in Kursk Region, but did not mention the attack on the command post. The summary claims that Russian troops continue to destroy AFU formations.
The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) noted the intensification of the AFU offensives in Kursk region, which may indicate the start of a new phase of the operation. Although the analysts do not give precise forecasts, they note tactical successes of Ukrainian troops in the areas of southern Berdyn, as well as in the central parts of Russkiy Poperechniy and Novosotnitskiy, which was recorded using geolocation images on 5 and 6 January.
