CNS: Enemy detains hryvnya exchangers in temporarily occupied territories
The occupiers have banned the circulation of the hryvnia since 1 January in an attempt to control residents.
The press service of the National Resistance Centre (NRC) has reported:
Since 1 January, the occupiers have launched raids on shops that accept hryvnya. The enemy has also detained currency dealers who were selling hryvnya. Additionally, bank terminals have been seized during searches.
All the measures taken do not help the occupiers:
Ukrainians in the temporarily occupied territories refuse to use the rouble and ignore the ban on the circulation of the hryvnia. Therefore, the occupiers have increased the responsibility for the circulation of the hryvnia. Now there is a fine of 300 thousand roubles for selling goods in Ukrainian currency.
The CNS said that residents of the temporarily occupied territories want to make them dependent on payments in rubles and thus strengthen passportization. Since it is a passport that is a prerequisite for receiving payments.
