Centre for Information Security: Facebook launches anti-Ukrainian campaign

The Centre for Strategic Communications has recorded another information attack by the Russians: on Facebook, through anonymous channels, the enemy is spreading advertisements with the intention to dissuade Ukrainians from winning.

The Centre for Strategic Communications and Information Security on Facebook reports:

According to the information we have, a campaign to spread lies started on 11 March.

The propagandists' main messages are:

  • The battle for Bakhmut is lost by Ukraine (photos 1,2);
  • The West does not believe in Ukraine;
  • The Defence Forces command has already fled and "the guys are fighting back with their own forces";
  • US reduces arms supplies because it allegedly caught Ukrainian authorities stealing supplies.

The occupiers want to undermine Ukrainian society's trust in the authorities by manipulating the allegedly lost battle for Bakhmut and the fact that the allies will leave us with the enemy to fend for ourselves.

The Centre also reports:

In fact, this is not the case: the Defence Forces are standing strong in Bakhmut and Army Commander Syrsky is constantly coming to the positions. The event continues to supply us with weapons and equipment in large quantities, soon to be used in a counter-offensive.
