Switzerland imposes new sanctions against Russia


Sanctions take effect June 29

The new restrictions include an embargo on crude oil and certain petroleum products from Russia. As in the EU, their purchase, import, transit and transport and other related services, which, like insurance, are prohibited within Switzerland.
As in the European Union, this embargo will be implemented gradually and will come into force in early 2023 after a series of transitional periods.
Also, Switzerland will no longer provide accounting and business consulting services to companies from the Russian Federation.
You may also not promote content created or broadcast by certain Russian media such as Russia Today or Sputnik.
The sanctions come into effect on June 29.
