The Ukrainian armed forces hit the Syzran oil refinery and the Russians' command centre in Yenakievo.
on 15 August, Ukrainian forces attacked important military and industrial facilities of the enemy, hitting the territory of Russia and temporarily occupied Donbas. According to the AFU General Staff, the Syzran oil refinery in Russia's Samara Region, one of the largest facilities in Rosneft's system, was hit. The facility produces a wide range of fuels, including aviation paraffin, and plays a significant role in supplying the Russian army. After the strike, a fire broke out at the refinery, accompanied by explosions.
In addition, Ukrainian forces struck a control point of the 132nd separate motorised rifle brigade of the 51st Army of the Russian Armed Forces, located in the town of Yenakievo in the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk Region. The General Staff specified that both targets were hit, but the detailed results of the operation are still being verified. The strikes were carried out by units of the AFU Special Operations Forces in cooperation with other components of the Defence Forces.
The military command stressed that such actions were aimed at undermining Russia's military and economic potential and forcing it to stop its armed aggression against Ukraine.
