Sappers continue demining settlements in the Kyiv region, which were liberated from Russian invaders. However, the process of complete demining will drag on for years. This was stated by the head of the humanitarian direction of the Kiev OVA Oleksiy Kuleba on the air of the Dom TV channel.

According to him, work should be carried out in 35 territorial communities of the Kyiv region, on the territory of which hostilities took place.

This is a huge territory, which now first of all needs to be examined, demining, at least a superficial inspection. If we talk about the complete demining, we understand, unfortunately, that this may take years, - said Kuleba.

He added that after the work of sappers in the liberated settlements, the stage of restoration of electricity networks, water and gas supply and other elements of critical infrastructure is underway.

During the Russian occupation of the settlements of the Kyiv region, at least 1084 civilians were killed. To date, more than 300 people have not been identified.
