U.S. intends to help free Kherson - Sullivan
The U.S. remains the country that has provided one of the most tangible supports for the war with Russia.
The United States of America (USA) will continue to make efforts so that the Armed Forces of Ukraine can liberate Ukrainian territories, including Kherson. This was announced at a briefing in Kyiv by US national security adviser Jake Sullivan. He noted:
We heard the reports of the commanders in this direction. And it's not for me to characterize the situation on the battlefield. However, we must provide Ukraine with everything necessary for these operations to continue.
He emphasized that his visit to Ukraine was built around helping Kyiv for offensive operations:
We discussed how we can help with support, given the tasks that have been identified. And we'll do our best to help
It should be noted that National Security Adviser to the President of the United States of America Jake Sullivan on Friday, November 4, made an unannounced visit to Kyiv and met with the head of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and the head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak.
The OPU noted that the visit of the US national security adviser is an extremely important and powerful signal of support for the regular strikes of Russian troops with Iranian-made missiles and kamikaze drones.
It is known that the Department of Defense of the United States of America announced the allocation of an additional assistance package to Ukraine in the amount of about $400 million. In particular, it included dozens of tanks, hundreds of armored personnel carriers and more than a thousand drones.
