US wants to use frozen Russian assets to rebuild Ukraine

In particular, the US wants to tap the $300 billion of the Russian central bank.
US Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland said this during the US-Ukraine Partnership Forum.
Nuland said that the United States is looking into the possibility of attracting frozen Russian assets to rebuild the destroyed Ukrainian infrastructure.
Among other things, we are working to make Russia pay for what it destroyed.
There is now $300 billion of the Russian central bank in frozen assets. The US is working to put that money to work.
Nuland stressed that with the support of the US Congress, the US Justice Department has new powers to use illegal assets confiscated from Russian oligarchs - to help rebuild Ukraine.
