The U.S. is preparing for a long and escalating war between Russia and Ukraine - the media

Biden's proposal to allocate $33 billion in aid to Ukraine speaks of an escalation in Russia's war against Ukraine.
This is reported by the Financial Times.
US President Joe Biden on Thursday asked Congress to provide Ukraine with $33 billion in military, economic and humanitarian aid. Of them:
- 20.4 billion dollars for the purchase of weapons,
- $8.5 billion to support the economy,
- $3 billion for humanitarian aid to refugees and food purchases.
Biden's proposed amount is nearly three times the $13.9 billion aid approved a month earlier. The new package is expected to be valid until September this year.
According to the Financial Times, Biden's decision shows Washington's preparation for a long and intensifying conflict. This is confirmed by the words of the American president himself. He said that Washington had almost exhausted the funding previously approved by Congress with the expectation that the war would continue for several months, and added that the new package begins the transition to "long-term defense assistance."
