Zaluzhny's adviser: The war with Russia will last at least another year

General Viktor Nazarov, chief adviser to the AFU commander-in-chief, told Spiegel in an interview:

In February 2022, I had already predicted that the conflict would last at least a year, maybe more. Now, according to my estimates, it will last at least another year.

The general stated that it is now impossible for Russia to be totally defeated in the sense of unconditional surrender, but defeat on the battlefield is possible:

We know that given the size of russia and its nuclear weapons, it is impossible to inflict a total defeat in the sense of unconditional surrender. but a defeat on the battlefield is possible. it is a question of reclaiming territories in the Azov Sea and the Crimean Peninsula.
