The public organisation Cultural Information Agency "Social Portal of Ukraine" is pleased to announce that "Social Portal" and "Obukhiv Chronicles" received a scholarship from the Public Interest Journalism Lab.
This support aims to strengthen our work to report objectively and independently on topics of importance to society.
About the programme
The fellowship programme is part of the Voices of Ukraine initiative coordinated by the European Centre for Press and Media Freedom. "Voices of Ukraine" is implemented within the framework of the Hannah Arendt Initiative and funded by the German Federal Foreign Office. The aim of the programme is to support Ukrainian media and journalists at risk and to promote transparent coverage of the processes taking place in the country.
The main objectives of the fellowship programme include:
- Supporting independent media and journalists contributing to the development of a free press in Ukraine.
- Strengthening professional ties between journalists, experts and public organisations.
- Ensuring transparency and objectivity in the coverage of current events and processes.
- Assisting in the fight against misinformation and promoting high standards of journalism.
It is important to stress that this programme does not affect our editorial policy. We continue to adhere to the principles of objectivity and independence in our work.
We would like to thank the Public Interest Journalism Laboratory, the European Centre for Press and Media Freedom and the German Federal Foreign Office for their support. This co-operation will allow us to continue our mission of providing reliable information and contributes to the strengthening of independent journalism in Ukraine.
