Media: Occupier's base near Simferopol hit by explosion

The explosion took place at a former border guard base near the airport in temporarily occupied Simferopol.

"Radio Liberty" reported in Telegram that photos show the location of the explosion: it took place at a former border guards training base located near the Dzhabanak gully, near the village of Shkolnoye and a few kilometres from Simferopol airport.

Russian Telegram channels reported about the sounds of explosions in Sevastopol, but Radio Svoboda said that the explosion actually took place at a Russian border troops base near Simferopol.

We shall remind you that Ukrinform earlier reported, citing the Facebook of the Monitoring Group of the Institute of Black Sea Strategic Studies, that more than 30 explosions have been recorded in the temporarily occupied by the Russians in Crimea since the beginning of 2023 in different areas.

According to a report published by monitoring group BlackSeaNews and the Institute for Black Sea Strategic Studies, more than 30 "claps" have been recorded in the Crimean peninsula since the beginning of 2023, based on open source data. Of these, 24 are confirmed drone attacks in different areas of the peninsula, and 12 occurred near Sevastopol.
