Slovak hauliers start blockade of Ukrainian border: 300 lorries stuck

The Union of Carriers of Slovakia has blocked the Vishne-Nemetske checkpoint on the border with Ukraine. It is not known how long the strike will last.
It is possible that the blocking of the Ukrainian border by Slovak carriers will be long-term. This was reported by the State Border Service.
Theblockade began today at 13.30. At the border do not allow trucks moving towards the Slovak checkpoint "Vishne-Nemetskoe", adjacent to the Ukrainian checkpoint "Uzhgorod".
Currently, the Ukrainian border guards are taking measures to monitor the situation, to clarify the interaction with their Slovak colleagues on the order of further passage of trucks and the category of goods that will be allowed across the border, - reported in the State Border Guard Service.
Now about 300 lorries are stuck in front of the checkpoint "Vishne-Nemetskoye" in the direction of Ukraine.
It is noted that passenger vehicles pass in tyre mode.
We will remind, on 6 November Polish carriers began a blockade of the Ukrainian border at several checkpoints. The blockade continues until now. After that, on 16 November, the "warning blockade" began Slovak carriers. The border was blocked for an hour. The carriers demanded a reaction from the European Commission and threatened to launch a full-fledged strike.
