A 30-year-old doctor from Lviv has been killed in a Russian strike on the Okhmatdet children's hospital.



This was reported by Lviv mayor Andriy Sadovyy on Facebook.

In Okhmatdet among the dead - 30-year-old Lviv woman Svitlana Lukyanchuk, - the message said.

According to Sadovy, the woman was born in Lviv and was an orphan, so brought up Svetlana aunt.

Svitlana graduated from the National medical University named after A.A. Bogomolets. After completing internship she worked as a paediatric nephrologist in Okhmatdet.

Svitlana will be buried in Lviv near her parents, in Goloskovskiy cemetery. Bright Memory, - added Sadovy.

What is known about the strike on Okhmatdet

In the morning of 8 July, the Russian army shelled the territory of Ukraine. Under enemy fire was the main children's hospital of the country - Okhmatdet. The Security Service has established that the Russian invaders used a strategic cruise missile Kh-101 for the strike.

At the moment it is known about two dead in the hospital - both adults.

According to an employee of Okhmatdet, at the time of the shelling in the hospital were conducting operations, some children were in intensive care. They were not injured. All children who were in the medical centre were transferred to other hospitals.
