The Russiansmall missile ship Serpukhov, which is in the Baltic Sea, has been put out of action due to a fire on board. This was reported by the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence.

"On 7 April 2024 on the territory of the enemy naval base in the city of Baltiysk, Kaliningrad region of Russia, the missile ship "Serpukhov" was put out of service as a result of a fire," the intelligence said.

"Serpukhov" is a Russian ship of the project 21631 "Buyan-m", launched by the aggressor state in 2015.

It is reported that due to the fire inside the missile ship completely destroyed its communication and automation equipment. Restoring the combat capability of "Serpukhov" will require a long time.

The GSD also showed a fragment of the plan of the missile ship of the Buyan-M project, to which Serpukhov belongs, with the specified source of the fire - it was in the deckhouse opposite the compartment of the 3S-14 universal missile launcher.
