Polish Senate passes resolution for Ukraine to join NATO under fast-track procedure

Poland believes that Ukraine's accession to NATO should be a political decision.
This was reported byPolskie Radio.
According to journalists, the Polish Senate has advocated accelerated Ukraine's accession to NATO following the example of Sweden and Finland.
Poland considers the NATO summit in Vilnius in July to be a key event.
The resolution said:
"After a year of terrible war, we know that Ukraine, by standing up to Russia, is defending Europe and is a key link protecting the continent from aggression from the East.
The resolution states that the Ukrainian army is now the strongest on the continent and has extraordinary combat experience. Moreover, the Ukrainian army can quickly rearm with NATO equipment and use the operational art and tactics developed for decades by Western allies.
In Poland, Ukraine's accession to NATO should be a political decision.
