This was reported by the mayor of Kharkiv Igor Terekhov in Telegram.

The enemy made a strike on the centre of Kharkiv. [...] The blow hit a residential multi-storey building in the Kievskyi district of the city. According to preliminary information -there are casualties and significant damage, - the mayor wrote.

The head of the Kharkiv regional state administration Oleg Sinegubov reported about 19 injured as a result of the Russian strike on the city. Among them is a six-month-old baby.

19 people have turned to medics after the Russian attack on the centre of Kharkiv. Among them is a 6-month-old baby. Fortunately, the infant does not need hospitalisation. The age of the rest of the victims is from 20 to 79 years old. Almost all of them have explosive wounds and glass trauma, one person experienced severe stress. Doctors are providing the necessary qualified assistance, " Sinegubov said.

According to preliminary data, the Russians made two strikes with ballistic weapons.

There is information that there are more people under the rubble. Search operations are continuing, " Sinegubov emphasised.

President Vladimir Zelensky also commented on the Russian attack on Kharkiv.

A terrible Russian strike on Kharkiv. Preliminarily two missiles. Right on residential buildings. One of the houses is significantly damaged. A rescue operation is underway and all necessary services are being called in. Theexact number of victims is unknown, " Zelensky wrote.
