Russian troops carried out more than a thousand strikes on Zaporizhzhya region over the weekend

Over two days on 17-18 February, Russian troops launched 1,062 strikes on 18 sett lements in Zaporizhzhya Region. Police officers have collected evidence of Russian war crimes. This is reported by the National Police on 19 February.

on 17 and 18 February, enemy troops used operational-tactical missile systems, aviation, attack drones, multiple rocket launchers, artillery and other types of weapons. The police registered 23 reports of destruction of residential and civilian infrastructure. There were no casualties, - reported in the police.

It is noted that over the weekend the Russians hit Zaporizhzhya with Iskander-M missile, made 7 air attacks on Novodorovka, Robotino and Malaya Tokmachka, 200 strikes from UAVs, 70 strikes from MLRS, 784 strikes from artillery, tanks and mortars on towns and villages of Polohovsky and Vasilievsky districts.

As a result of enemy hits, the territory of one of the infrastructure facilities in Zaporizhzhya was damaged.

In Stepnogorsk, Russian shells hit private and multi-storey houses of local residents. Civilian houses in Gulyaypol, Orekhov and neighbouring villages were also destroyed. There was no information about injured or dead citizens.

The police collected evidence of war crimes. Police and SBU investigators opened criminal proceedings under part 1 of article 438 (Violation of laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
