Russian military drone flew into Latvian airspace
The drone flew into the territory of the Baltic country from the direction of Belarus.
On Saturday 7 September, a Russian military drone crashed and crashed in the Rēzekne region in eastern Latvia. This was reported by Latvian President Edgars Rinkevics.

He added that according to the information available to the Latvian National Armed Forces (NAF), the drone entered the country's airspace from the direction of Belarus.
Lieutenant General Leonid Kalninsh, commander of the Latvian National Armed Forces, told reporters that the drone was immediately spotted.
We assessed and monitored the situation, how dangerous it was and whether objects and civilians could be endangered," Kalnins said.
The Latvian Defence Forces, in accordance with established procedures, informed officials, law enforcement and NATO command about the incident. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
This is the first time since the beginning of the full-scale invasion that a Russian military drone has violated Latvian airspace.
Latvian Foreign Minister Baiba Braže announced that a representative of the Russian embassy would be summoned on Monday, 9 September, recalling that the incident with the Russian drone also took place in Romania.
