As a result of Russian strikes on Pokrovskyi district of Donetsk region on Saturday night, 11 people were killed, among them five children, 8 more people were wounded. This was reported by the Chairman of the Donetsk Regional State Administration Vadim Filashkin in Telegram.

The main blow came to Pokrovsk and Rivne of Mirnograd community. The enemy is cynically hitting civilians, trying to bring as much grief as possible to our land," he wrote.
The President reacted to the information about the death of civilians. He pointed out that in these hours in Pokrovsk, Donetsk region and in Pokrovsk district, the rescue operation after the Russian missile strike is continuing. Zelensky noted that the occupants used S-300 missiles for shelling.
The necessary rescue forces and equipment of the State Emergency Situations Service of Ukraine have been involved. They are removing the rubble. As of this time it is known about the death of more than ten people, and among them - children, unfortunately ... My condolences to all those who lost their relatives and friends," the head of state added.
Zelensky noted that the Russian strike was on ordinary residential buildings, on private houses.
Russia must feel - always feel - that none of such strikes will pass without consequences for the terrorist state. We must ensure this - with our strength, our own defence and political capabilities," the president stressed.
