Russian troops conducted two waves of drone attacks 15 minutes apart, amounting to 7 hours of intense air defence combat.



Russian troops attacked the southern regions of Ukraine with Shahed-131/136-type attack UAVs at night, 17 kamikaze drones were destroyed. This was reported by the Defence Forces of southern Ukraine on 27 December.

Two civilians were killed this night as a result of enemy strikes on frontline regions, the State Emergency Situations Service reported.

There were two waves of attacks with an interval of 15 minutes. That amounted to 7 hours of intense combat work of air defence.

Air defence forces destroyed 17 kamikaze drones:

  • 12 in Odessa region
  • 3 in Mykolayiv region
  • 2 in Vinnitsa region.

Odessa region: around midnight the occupants attacked the region with drones. A person died, four more were injured. Among them a 6-year-old child. Residential houses were damaged.

Odessa: an uninhabited new building was destroyed. Fortunately, without detonation and negative consequences.

Kherson region: from artillery hit Antonovka, one person was injured. Also the occupants hit the territory of the research institution in the Kherson district. One person was killed.

Kherson: a shopping centre, garage, shop, mobile shelter, cars were damaged.

Donetsk region: rescuers extinguished a fire in a multi-storey building and rescued three people.

Dnipropetrovsk region: a fire on the territory of an agricultural enterprise was liquidated.
