Russia made up a victory under 9 May.

The head of the Russian General Staff, Valery Gerasimov, has officially admitted for the first time that Russians are fighting alongside North Korean mercenaries. He spoke about their participation in a report to Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin.

He confirmed the participation of the DPRK military in the battles in Kursk region and said that they "acting shoulder to shoulder with the Russian military, showed fortitude and heroism." At the same time, the Russian general told Putin that the troops of the aggressor country had allegedly recaptured 99.5 per cent of Kursk Region from Ukrainian troops, while the AFU still controlled dozens of square kilometres in the region.

Recall that during talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Moscow on 1 November 2024, DPRK Foreign Minister Choi Seong-hee for the first time officially confirmed Pyongyang's provision of military assistance to Moscow in its war of aggression against the Ukrainian people. At the time, she stated that Kimpri ordered to assist Russia in its war of conquest, and she called the war itself "sacred."

From the very beginning of the war, honourable Comrade Chairman of State Affairs Kim Jong-un has instructed that we should, without looking back at anyone, unwaveringly and powerfully support and assist the Russian army and the Russian people in their holy war," the DPRK spokeswoman said.

Meanwhile, the Russian media say, citing Gerasimov's report, that during the fighting in the Kursk border area, the AFU allegedly lost at least 75,000 troops and more than 400 tanks.

We would like to note that according to the Deep State map, the Ukrainian armed forces still control about 30 square kilometres.
