Russian accomplice detained for leaking AFU art positions near Bakhmut to the enemy

The SBU counterintelligence service has unmasked another accomplice of the Russian security services near the front line in Donetsk Region. This is reported by the SBU.

The attacker was collecting intelligence on the deployment and movement of Ukrainian troops near Bakhmut.

First of all, she tried to establish the coordinates of firing positions of the AFU's barrel and rocket artillery, including HIMARS artillery systems. She was also interested in the directions of combat aviation flights and routes of movement of heavy armoured vehicles of the Ukrainian defenders," the SBU said.

According to the investigation, the enemy agent conducted reconnaissance activities at its place of residence near the town of Kostyantynivka.

SBU officers documented the criminal actions of the figurehead and detained her at her place of residence.

The SBU investigators informed the detainee of suspicion under part 2 of article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (unauthorised dissemination of information about the movement, displacement or deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, committed under martial law).

She is now in custody. The investigation is ongoing. The attacker faces up to 8 years of imprisonment.
