Russia is inflaming the situation with the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant because it wants to use it to its advantage and change the course of the war.

Deputy Defence Minister Anna Malyar wrote this on Telegram.

The information space was filled with a message about the likelihood of a terrorist attack at ZNPP. Why is Russia escalating the situation with ZNPP and may resort to a terrorist attack on its territory? To turn the tide of war in its favour. Both scenarios - the intimidation of terrorist acts and their direct perpetration - are tools for Russia to achieve military goals", Malyar wrote.

According to her, the enemy is capable of "any, even totally reckless actions, which it will then try to pass off as someone else's. Malyar also noted the importance of trusting official sources of information and sticking to their recommendations.

We shall remind you that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said earlier that Russia was considering a scenario of a terrorist act involving the release of radiation at the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant. After that, the intelligence reported that the occupants had completed preparations for a terrorist attack and started to leave the territory of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant. In particular, Russian servicemen and collaborators left the plant.

According to Kirill Budanov, the head of the State Security Service of Ukraine , the occupants have mined the cooling pool and four power units of the plant. Therefore, Minister for Temporary Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk, urged Ukrainians living near the plant to evacuate. The Interior Ministry has drawn up a set of recommendations in case the Russians dare to carry out an act of terrorism.
