Rocket attack on Sumy on Independence Day: one person killed, six wounded

As a result of shelling of the city of Sumy on Independence Day, 24 August, one person was killed and six wounded. This is reported by the Sumy OVA.

It is indicated that the Russians hit the private sector of the city. A fire has arisen.

At night from the damaged houses in Sumy rescuers evacuated three people. In parallel, firefighters liquidated the detected hotbeds of combustion that arose in the house of citizens.

Earlier local authorities reported about seven wounded. Two of them were in serious condition.

As noted by the Sumy OVA, during the night and morning, the Russians carried out 27 shellings of border areas and settlements of Sumy Region. Seventy-five explosions were recorded.
