Rocket attack on Chernihiv: death toll rises to 16 people
A Russian missile attack in Chernihiv killed 16 people and injured 61 others.

As of 16.00 as a result of a missile strike in Chernihiv killed 16 people. Psychologists of the State emergency service are working on the site. Search and rescue operations continue, - stated in the message.
The State Emergency Service added that 61 people were injured, among them three children. Three people were rescued from under the rubble.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that as of 16:42, the death toll had increased to 17 people. In particular, 2 people died in the hospital.
The Interior Ministry added that more than 100 people whose flats and property had been damaged by the Russian strike had applied to the mobile centre deployed.
Investigation and operational teams have conducted more than 200 inspections of damaged flats and buildings. The work is continuing. Interior Ministry system units continue to help people, document war crimes and eliminate the consequences of the enemy attack," the report said.
Recall, the Russian army launched a missile strike on Chernihiv on 17 April. As a result of the shelling, a social infrastructure facility, a hospital and several residential high-rise buildings were damaged.
