On 18 August, the Russian army shelled the "Point of Indestructibility" in Chasovoye Yar in Donetsk Region. An investigation was launched into the injury of four civilians.

The enemy shells hit a residential neighbourhood in the city centre, near the "Indestructibility Point", where local residents usually receive humanitarian aid, charge phones and the like.
As a result of the shelling, two women, aged 73 and 76, who were on the street at the time, and a 72-year-old man were injured and hospitalised with multiple shrapnel wounds. Also among the injured was a 67-year-old humanitarian worker.
Explosions of enemy shells triggered fires in two apartment buildings. In addition, a public garden and neighbouring apartment buildings were damaged, with windows and doors blown out, roofs and balconies damaged.
