On Ukraine's Independence Day at around 10 a.m., the Russian Federation shelled Kurakhove with 152 mm calibre artillery. Four people were injured. Police officers rescued a woman from under the rubble.
This was reported by the Donetsk Region police communications department.
An apartment block, a shop, an administrative building and a critical infrastructure facility were destroyed. First aid to the wounded was provided by the crew "White Angel".
All of the injured were women aged 25, 47, 62 and 66. Police officers managed to unblock a 66-year-old woman from under the rubble of the supermarket. All the injured were taken to hospital.
In addition, the explosion damaged the administrative building, and cars parked nearby caught fire. Employees were evacuated from the building by the White Angel group.
