Reznikov predicted when the war would end

After the end of the war, Ukraine intends to join NATO.

The war with Russia may be over in a year. This was stated by the head of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry, Oleksiy Reznikov. In his opinion, this is a realistic timeframe. He also noted that after the end of hostilities, Ukraine will be able to become a full member of NATO, writes CNN.

According to Reznikov, in July 2024, the North Atlantic Alliance will celebrate its 75th anniversary and at the same time a decision on Ukraine may be announced.

At the same time, he noted that until the war is over, "there is no possibility of getting unanimous support."

Reznikov said that in the near future "the adoption procedure will be streamlined for Ukraine and the country will continue to work on the necessary reforms."

He also pointed out that Ukraine has already gained "real combat experience - how to contain the Russians, defeat them, beat them with NATO-standard weapons, which will benefit NATO."

We have become a real NATO eastern shield or Europe's eastern shield," he said.
