Reznikov says whether the task of protecting Kyiv's sky from missiles has been solved

Reznikov: The task of protecting Kiev's skies from Russian missiles almost solved.
The military is now working to protect Lviv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhya and Odessa from missile attacks. Ukrainian Defence Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said this on Facebook.
I did not believe that the Russians would start firing missiles at peaceful cities. Because it obviously contradicted their goal. That's why I take reliable protection of our sky as a personal challenge. In Kyiv we have almost solved this problem. In Lviv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa - not yet, but we are working," he said.
According to the minister, it was hard for him to imagine that the population of such a vast country as Russia could completely lose its moral values and degrade to an animal state. He stressed that such manifestations were observed not only in horrific crimes, but also in ordinary communication between parents and children, husbands and wives in Russia. The minister pointed out that the people are being crucified themselves.
The first time this struck Reznikov, he wrote, was at talks in Belarus last March, when he offered the Russian side to take back the thousands of bodies of dead Russian soldiers that had been scattered across Ukrainian forests and fields.
He noted that the Russian representatives not only refused to acknowledge their losses, but also falsely told each other that there had been no such losses.
According to the head of the Defence Ministry, it will take decades of effort to correct this moral degradation.
That is why we must not only liberate our land from them - we must make it so that this evil could not recover for a very long time and several generations would not be capable of aggression," said the Minister.
Reznikov said that the continuation of the battle is not a war for the abstract norms of international law, it is a battle for the right to live freely, happily on our beautiful land and to determine the future itself.
After the war, it will be a new Ukraine. Or there will be no Ukraine," he added.
Reznikov warned about possible serious trials Ukraine might have to face in the near future. He noted that Ukrainians are fighting not only against a cruel enemy, but are also fighting for their place in the world and for their vision of victory. The head of the Defence Ministry stressed that the great world is a sphere of competition.
It is going to be very difficult from now on. There will be pressure, there will be losses and destruction. There will be disappointment and discouragement. That is normal, because the challenges are really great. We are moving upwards. Rest assured - we will overcome everything, we will do well. We have true friends, it means a lot," said the Minister of Defence.
Reznikov added that no one could have imagined 500 days ago that Ukraine would be in the situation which it is in now. He stressed that every day Ukraine takes steps forward and advances.
Every day we are advancing. That is why there are so many people willing to push us onto a false path," he added.
