Reznikov tells how he works with Zelensky

President Vladimir Zelenskyy has asked Defence Minister Oleksiy Reznikov to "return" to reforms in the ministry, which have been delayed due to Russia's full-scale invasion, Reznikov said in an interview with LIGA.net.

At the same time, he said that he discussed with the president the tension that arose after a number of media scandals around the ministry.

He (Zelenskyy. - ed.) said frankly: "Oleksiy, the tension is understandable but no one has cancelled the reforms which we agreed with you during our first conversation (when he offered me the post). You left understandable priorities but you put them off too far. Go back to them", Reznikov said, relaying the content of the conversation with the head of state.

In his view, Zelensky continues to trust him: "I don't just see it, I feel it.

I have always felt comfortable with the president. We have had an agreement since February 2020, when I received an offer to enter the Ministry of Reintegration, that I am in the team while we both feel comfortable", the head of the Ministry of Defence said.

We shall remind you that after the scandal with products for the Armed Forces from the Defence Ministry, Reznikov wanted to be dismissed and offered the post of minister for strategic industries. However, on 6 February, Arahamiya said that everyone remains in their positions.
