The researchers analysed data from 99 million people and assessed neurological, haematological and cardiovascular complications following the administration of different types of vaccines.

Scientists from the Global Vaccine Data Network have presented the results of a large-scale study, which has provided an answer to the question that has been worrying society for years - what are the consequences of coronavirus vaccination.

In particular, the doctors analysed medical records of 99 million people from eight countries on different continents who were vaccinated against coronavirus with one of the following drugs: Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Sinopharm, Sinovac, Novavax, Johnson&Johnson and Russian Sputnik.

The researchers indicated that most of those who came to their attention had received doses from Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna and AstraZeneca.

In determining the risks to human health, the scientists concluded that coronavirus vaccines can be catalysts for a number of diseases in some cases. Thus, the analysis of the vaccine's impact on human health identified increased risks of myocarditis, pericarditis, Guillain-Barré syndrome, transverse myelitis, facial nerve palsy, acute disseminated encephalomyelitis, seizure disorders, as well as haematological complications - thrombosis, thrombocytopenia and immune thrombocytopenia.

The experts noted that their findings are not entirely groundbreaking, and that certain effects of vaccines on human health have been discussed before in other studies. Their findings, as the experts emphasise, are another confirmation that vaccination is to some extent able to influence the processes inside the body.

Scientists emphasised that their study could be useful for vaccine manufacturers, who continue to work on modification of preparations.

In Ukraine, the coronavirus infection Covid-19 (a new type of pneumonia) was first diagnosed on 3 March 2020 in Chernivtsi. on 13 March, the first fatality as a result of coronavirus infection was recorded. As of 7 March 2024, there were 5557995 infected people in Ukraine, of whom 112418 died.
