So, Soneva Fushi resort is looking for a "barefoot bookseller." They intend to pay him - $ 750 per month. He will live in a villa that costs $36.5 thousand per day, according to Insider.

The contract is said to be for a year.

The candidate has several requirements. First of all, his English must be at a very high level. In English, he must write, read and speak equally. At the same time, a bookseller must love his job and, of course, be well versed in modern and classical literature. Experience in the bookselling or publishing industry is also required.

The responsibilities of the bookseller will include direct sales, business management, promotion of the store on social networks, organization, and the conduct of creative writing classes and lectures.

The Barefoot Bookseller project started in 2018 when Ultimate Library, which compiles book libraries for hotels, private residences, and retailers, opened a bookstore at Soneva Fushi Resort on Kunfunadu Island. The theme of bare feet is played here based on the concept of relaxation, which should be present on the island.

Applications will be accepted until August 13th.

The Maldives is a tropical state in the Indian Ocean, located on 26 ring-shaped atolls, which consist of more than a thousand coral islands.

The main part of the population are immigrants from the Middle East and South Asia who once arrived here. But also Arabs, Pakistanis, Indians, Sinhalese live on the islands. The population is less than 350 thousand.

The Maldives fascinate many, and therefore the flow of tourists here does not stop all year round. In total, the islands receive more than a million tourists during the year. Most of the guests come from India.

However, those planning a trip to the islands should be wary of night swimming. the ocean at this time of the day "comes to life" and its inhabitants go hunting.
