Quick attack on Kharkiv, Kryvyi Rih and Vinnytsia in flames: details of Russian Federation's night shelling

The attack was carried out from several directions, with Kharkiv, Krivoy Rog, Vinnitsa, Odessa and Kiev regions, as well as Zaporizhzhya, coming under attack.

Kharkiv

At least 17 explosions were recorded in Kharkiv within twenty minutes. According to the mayor Igor Terekhov and the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Oleg Sinegubov, the main area hit was Kievskyi. The targets were civilian infrastructure objects. According to preliminary information, kamikaze drones "Geran-2" were used. Three people were injured.

Krivoy Rog

Krivoy Rog was hit by a ballistic missile, after which 28 Shaheds attacked the city. As a result, one of the drones hit civilian infrastructure, fires broke out and a 17-year-old boy was seriously injured. The city has seen widespread power cuts and water systems have been switched to running on generators.

In the Odessa region, the strikes hit the Izmail district. In Izmail recorded damage to the infrastructure facility, a fire broke out. Local authorities report that there were no casualties.

In Kiev, air defence forces worked overnight, the air alert did not last long. There was no information about damage.

Vinnytsia

In Vinnitsa, industrial and civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged as a result of the overnight attack, eight people were injured. Among them five with burns, two in serious condition. In the region four residential houses were damaged, fires also broke out. A total of 28 drones were fired at Vinnitsa region, 18 of them were shot down by air defence forces.

Activity of enemy drones was also recorded in Zaporizhzhya. According to reports by OBA head Ivan Fedorov, some of the drones were travelling in the direction of the city's international airport.

The Russian attack was accompanied by the declaration of an air alert almost all over Ukraine. Despite the massive nature of the raid, the defence forces were able to intercept a significant number of drones and minimise the consequences.
