Putin can't accept that he needs to stop killing - Zelensky on massive Russian strike

A massive Russian strike on Ukraine, primarily on civilian and energy infrastructure, has been continuing since nightfall. There are casualties among the population.
President Vladimir Zelensky wrote about this in Telegram.
As of Tuesday morning, the Russians had already fired more than 650 drones and more than 30 missiles at Ukraine. In total, at least 13 regions were under attack.
A significant portion of the drones and missiles have been shot down, but unfortunately there have been hits and there are casualties among the population. Zelensky said that all necessary services were working to eliminate the consequences of the attack and spoke about the losses.
In the Kiev region from the impact of a Russian drone killed a woman. It is known about the dead person in Khmelnytsky region. In Zhytomyrshchyna killed a four-year-old child - Russian drone hit a residential house. My condolences to the family and friends, " he wrote.
The President emphasises that the strike before Christmas and in the midst of negotiations to end the war demonstrates the true intentions of the Russians. Zelensky called on partners to increase pressure on the aggressor country and to continue active support for Ukraine.
This Russian strike signals Russian priorities very clearly. A strike before Christmas, when people just want to be with their loved ones, at home, safe. A strike actually in the midst of negotiations that are underway to end this war. There's no way Putin can accept that he needs to stop killing. And that means the world is not pushing Russia hard enough. We have to react now. We have to force Russia into peace and guaranteed security. We must not forget that every day - both weekdays and holidays - Ukraine is defending people's lives. Air defence for Ukraine, funding for weapons, supplying energy equipment - these are all processes that do not go on weekends. We have to be dedicated to defending life in order to finally achieve peace, " he said.
President Zelensky also thanked the partners for their indifference and support for Ukraine.
