Assigned bulletproof vests and walkie-talkies for the Armed Forces of Ukraine: a criminal will be tried in Kyiv

In May, a 42-year-old from Kiev was detained, who appropriated the ammunition purchased for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"In order to overcome alleged transportation problems, the fraudster demanded from the victims from 10,000 to 16,000 hryvnias, and then asked them to transfer additional money," the police said.

Nothing is sacred. The man deprived the Ukrainian soldiers of the opportunity to get the necessary ammunition.

"Thus, the man deceived four Ukrainians and appropriated 40 body armor, 15 walkie-talkies, medicines that they purchased for the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The evidence collected during the investigation confirms his involvement in the crime. Through his actions, the attacker caused material damage for half a million hryvnia," told the department.

The swindler is facing up to eight years in prison.
