Police are investigating more than 87,000 criminal cases related to Russian aggression

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia and Ukraine, law enforcers have launched 87,308 criminal proceedings. Most of them concern violations of the laws and customs of war.

This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine.

Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, investigators of the National Police of Ukraine have launched 87,308 criminal proceedings on the facts of committing crimes on the territory of Ukraine by servicemen of the armed forces of the Russian Federation and their accomplices," the statement said.

Most of them - 74,713 are related to violations of the laws and customs of war. Another 109 cases concern Ukrainians who defected to the enemy - they will be tried for collaboration activities. Another 171 people are suspected of high treason.

Also, since 24 February, 79 Russian detention centres and places of detention have been discovered in the de-occupied territories. Most of them (28) were found in Kharkiv Region, slightly less (26) in Zaporizhzhya Region and 16 in Kherson Region. More places of detention where Russians illegally tortured Ukrainian citizens were found in Kiev, Sumy, Mykolayiv, Donetsk and Chernihiv regions.
