The Polish Infrastructure Ministry has contacted Ukraine over the protest of Polish hauliers at the border.

Poland asks to fulfil the demands of Polish hauliers to unblock the border.

This is reported by the Polish Ministry of Infrastructure.

The Ministry noted that one of the reasons for the protests of Polish hauliers is the introduction of the єCherga.

Minister Andrzej Adamczyk called for urgent measures to fulfil the requirements of Polish hauliers, for which the Ukrainian side is responsible. Therefore, the idea is to exclude the mandatory registration in the electronic queue of vehicles that return from Ukraine to the EU without cargo, at least at two checkpoints: Zosin-Uscilug and Niszankowice-Malhowice," the report said.

Adamczyk expressed hope that Ukraine would accept the appeal for the sake of "the well-being of Ukrainian and Polish drivers, ha uliers and entrepreneurs from other sectors of the economy."

Also carriers demand the resumption of permits for international transport, cancelled because of the agreement between the European Union and Ukraine. Therefore, the Polish minister appealed to the European Commissioner for Transport.

Andrzej Adamczyk also asked the president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, to support an appeal to the Ukrainian government regarding the deactivation of the electronic queuing system.
