Podolyak tells what Russia's vote at the UN Security Council will lead to
Mikhail Podolyak said that the lack of reaction to Russia's vote in the UN Security Council would lead to the loss of credibility of the organisation that ensures peace in the world.
The advisor to the head of the presidential office, Mykhaylo Podolyak, wrote this on Twitter.
Russia can neither preside over the UN Security Council nor have a veto power. This government has not even been granted de jure membership in the organisation. Failure to respond to violations of international law will result in the loss of the UN's agency role as a key organization for ensuring peace in the world," he wrote.
We shall remind you that Russia's presidency of the UN Security Council began in April. It should last for a month. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry believes that Russia became a part of the UN Security Council illegally. And Ukrainian representatives are trying to exclude Russia from the vote.
