Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill commented on the war with Ukraine during a sermon at a divine service in the main church of the Russian Armed Forces on April 3.

This was reported by the press service of the Russian Orthodox Church, RIA Novosti .

Patriarch Kirill addressed the Russian military after the liturgy in the main temple of the armed forces: "We have broken the back of fascism, which would undoubtedly have conquered the world if not for Russia."

And he said that the Russian people have no desire for war or harm to others: "We are a peaceful country."

Recall that 410 bodies of killed civilians were removed from the territory of the Kyiv region, 140 were examined by prosecutors and other specialists.

This was announced by the Prosecutor General Irina Venediktova.

In parallel, work is underway with the local population, the search for witnesses, victims, the collection of photo and video evidence. This is delicate and painstaking work: people are frightened, tired and tortured, they have experienced unspeakable horror. And here, too, time and a professional approach are needed to fix everything correctly and not miss any chance to find and punish the perpetrators,” she added.
