All three victims are journalists, citizens of Ukraine, the US and the UK.

Russian occupation troops struck the city of Kramatorsk in Donetschyna on the night of 25 August. The target of the war criminals was a hotel: three Ukrainian journalists and foreigners were injured there. This was reported by the head of the Donetsk regional military administration Vadim Filashkin.

He specified that the injured journalists are citizens of Britain, the United States and Ukraine. One of them as of Sunday morning was still under the rubble.

In addition to the hotel, a multi-storey building nearby was also damaged.

Representatives of the authorities, police and the State Emergency Service were working on the site. Debris removal and rescue operation continued there.

In turn, the prosecutor's office reported that on 24 August 2024, at 22:35, Russian troops hit Kramatorsk, probably with Iskander-M missile: "A residential area was in the crosshairs of the occupants, where two foreign media journalists, aged 38 and 40, were injured on the territory of a destroyed local hotel. They were diagnosed with mine blast trauma, brain contusion, leg fracture, contusion and cut wounds to the body".

Another journalist was still under the rubble in the morning.

Under the procedural guidance of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched in criminal proceedings for violation of the laws and customs of war (part 1 of article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The OBA added that over the past 24 August, the Russians killed seven residents of Donetschyna: five in Kostyantynivka, one in Toretsk and one in Kotlino. Another 15 people in the region were injured due to enemy shelling.

The total number of RF casualties in Donetschyna - 2,182 dead and 5,717 wounded - is submitted without taking into account Mariupol and Volnovakha.
