Children and things are taken away: how many Ukrainians were deported to Russia

According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, more than 500,000 Ukrainian citizens were forcibly taken to Russia. They are deported to remote regions of the country.
During an address to the Estonian Parliament, Zelensky also said that documents, mobile phones and personal belongings were taken from Ukrainians in Russia. There are cases when parents are separated from their children in order to then transfer them for illegal adoption to Russian families, the report says.
