About 250 law enforcers defected to the enemy after a full-scale invasion
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, 3,500 police officers have been dismissed. Some of them went abroad and some went to co-operate with the enemy.
Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko said this in an interview with Radio Liberty.
According to him, about 250 police officers defected to the enemy. They did not hold high positions and started working for the occupants for the sake of promotion.
In total, 3.5 thousand people have been dismissed since 24 February 2022. Some of them stayed in the temporarily occupied territories, and some went abroad unauthorisedly.
For Ukraine, for 130 thousand personnel - these are units, - summarised the Minister.
Earlier Socialportal reported that the security service of Ukraine uncovered 30 collaborators who help the enemy in the temporarily occupied territories to carry out repression of civilians. All of them voluntarily cooperated, and three traitors in Luhansk region headed the occupation administration.
The State Bureau of Investigation also uncovered a judge who stayed in the temporarily occupied territories and started to cooperate with the Russians. At that time, the judge continued to receive judicial remuneration and embezzled almost 2 million hryvnias of budget funds. In total, the SBI sent 75 indictments against judges to court over the year.
