Russians plan to remove exhibits from the Chersonesos Taurica museum-reserve in Sevastopol. The invaders are preparing documentation.
This was reported by the Centre for National Resistance (CNR).
The museum's occupation administration has started preparing documentation to justify the relocation of the exhibits. This includes acts of transfer for restoration for further presentation outside the museum for 300,000 exhibits from the reserve's holdings.
Who it is planned to transfer the funds, is not yet known, but it is known that it is outside the peninsula. At the same time, it should be noted that by the end of 2014, the funds had a total of about 500 thousand items (main and auxiliary fund), of which 300 thousand is the entire main fund, - added the CNS.
It should be noted that Tauric Chersonesos is an ancient city located on the temporarily occupied peninsula. The museum is included in the Seven Wonders of Ukraine. According to chronicles, it was the place of baptism of Kievan prince Vladimir, after which Christianity spread throughout Kievan Rus. In 2013, Tauric Chersonesos was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
