Occupiers collect bodies of dead on temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region
To conceal the real number of victims, the Russian Federation decided to bury the dead in mass graves without taking DNA samples
More than 60 bodies have been found due to the flooding caused by the explosion of the Kakhovka hydropower plant, the General Staff has said.
In several settlements affected by the flooding in the occupied territories of the Kherson Region, the occupiers have been forced to launch measures to stabilize the sanitary and epidemiological situation. Due to the outbreak of viral diseases, the invaders have started collecting dead bodies and removing the rubble, engaging communal services.
More than 60 bodies were found during search and recovery operations on 24-25 June this year alone. To conceal the real number of victims, the command of the Russian occupation troops decided to bury the dead in mass graves without taking DNA samples and making any markings on the burial site," the report says.
The fact that the occupiers are removing the corpses of the dead for incineration from the flooded area was previously reported by Alexander Kovalenko, a military and political observer of the Information Resistance group, on air at the FreeDom television channel. The occupation troops organise groups from the local population to collect the remains. We are talking about a large number of civilian casualties.
They simply burn them in order to cover up the traces of their crime. This should be seen as direct genocide," said Aleksandr Kovalenko.
