No light and gas in front-line towns of Zaporizhzhya region

The enemy is trying to attack in the east, shelling infrastructure and energy facilities.

The Russians have again shelled power lines, gas pipelines and distribution mains in the frontline towns of Zaporizhzhya Region. There is no power supply in the region. About 10 thousand people live under severe restrictions. In total, about 50 settlements in the region are under constant shelling. This is reported by the head of Zaporizhzhya Regional State Administration Ivan Fedorov.

The challenge is the lack of gas and electricity supply in frontline settlements as a result of damage to power supply lines, main gas pipelines, distribution equipment, - stated in the message.

Fedorov notes that power engineers are already working to restore gas and light supplies to people. However, the speed of these works largely depends on how much safety can be ensured for repair crews.

Restoration work will be carried out as soon as the safe situation in the problematic regions is ensured, - he specified.

Head of Zaporizhzhya Regional State Administration also noted that generators are being purchased at the expense of UNICEF to provide objects with heat and water supply. There is also an agreement to finance the purchase of 14 cogeneration plants with a total capacity of 29 MW.

We would like to point out that the authorities are urging citizens living in frontline towns and villages to evacuate and move to safer regions of the country.
