On the night of 6 June, Russian invaders blew up the Kakhovska hydroelectric station, causing water to flow downstream uncontrollably.

Four people have been confirmed dead because of the bombing of the Kakhovska hydroelectric power plant by Russians, while 27 people are missing, Interior Minister Igor Klimenko has said. This was reported by Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko.

At the same time, he added that these were the official figures, but the number of victims of the disaster could be much higher. The situation in the part of Kherson region temporarily occupied by the Russians remains unclear.

2,620 people have been evacuated, including 160 children. Four people have been killed. 11 people were injured as a result of shelling during evacuations. 31 settlements were flooded in Mykolaiv region. 936 people, 167 of whom are children, have been evacuated. 1 person was killed," Klymenko said.

He said that volunteers, law enforcers and rescue services are working to evacuate people from the disaster zone. At the same time, the enemy continues shelling the territory of Ukraine, including evacuation buses and people's aid posts.

Also Klymenko informed that in Dnipropetrovsk region because of the disaster there is no water supply to more than 89 thousand subscribers in 26 settlements. Drinking and technical water supply has been organized locally.
